The activation of underutilised urban areas and development of renewal precincts has the potential to deliver societal benefits such as the revitalisation of communities, the enhancement of the public domain and improvement of the environmental performance and sustainability of the urban environment. We are proud of the contribution TPG NSW has made to the delivery of these societal benefits.

By taking a collaborative and co-ordinated approach to design, TPG NSW works closely with a strong network of specialist disciplines including architecture/urban design, engineering, land economics, environmental sciences, social planning and communications, to ensure projects deliver optimum benefits for the community and government.

Our services include:

  • Strategic planning services in the preparation of planning studies and strategies, planning proposals and rezoning applications, and draft statutory planning instruments for urban renewal precincts and infill sites, and nominations for urban activation precincts;
  • Urban design service utilising the design expertise and resources of the TPG Perth office for masterplanning of urban renewal precincts and public domain plans;
  • Development planning and assessment services for urban infill development applications and staged masterplan development applications for urban renewal precincts;
  • Due diligence planning advice to assist in assessing suitability and feasibility of urban renewal and infill development projects;
  • Community and stakeholder engagement which may include notifications, public information sessions and exhibitions, workshops and meetings, consultation and negotiation with planning authorities, and review of public submissions.
  • Project planning management services to procure, co-ordinate and manage comprehensive project team of specialists needed in strategic planning projects and in the planning stages of development applications.

"Curtin University engaged TPG as the lead consultant for the preparation of a Place Activation Plan to assist and guide the University as it transitions from an inwardly looking and isolated suburban campus in to a vibrant people focused urban centre. The work undertaken by TPG and their team is exemplary and sparked the imagination of the Curtin population to such an extent that the initiatives proposed have greatly influenced the future direction of the University.
