TPG congratulates Chris Ferreira on completion of thesis

Chris has taken on the role of Urban Planner with TPG NSW having recently completed his thesis: Planning for Industrial Land and employment growth in deindustrialised and decentralised cities.

In the thesis, Chris challenges strategic thinking behind metropolitan planning for industrial land and employment growth, arguing that a more flexible approach is required in rezoning industrial land to higher order land uses in cases in some cases.

In the thesis, Chris challenges strategic thinking behind metropolitan planning for industrial land and employment growth, arguing that a more flexible approach is required in rezoning industrial land to higher order land uses in cases in some cases. He also assesses the spatial distribution of industrial land and industrial land usage trends in the Sydney metro region.

During the formulation of the paper, Chris interviewed 8 industry stakeholders from state government, local government and industry lobby groups throughout Sydney who were able to provide an invaluable research focus for the study.
